Behalve (“we”, “us”) builds AI-powered customer service chatbots for small businesses. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our platform.
What We Collect
Account data
When you sign up: email, password (hashed), and your business name.
Business content
Documents, product info, and knowledge you provide to train your chatbot.
Conversation data
Messages between your chatbot and your customers across connected channels (LINE, WhatsApp, Instagram, web chat).
Instagram & Facebook data
When you connect your Instagram Business account, we receive: your Instagram Business account ID, page name, profile info, and messages sent to your account. We use this solely to power your chatbot’s responses on Instagram.
Usage data
Basic analytics: page views, feature usage, conversation volumes.
How We Use Your Data
- Power your AI chatbot and deliver responses to your customers
- Process messages through our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate replies
- Store documents and knowledge to keep your chatbot accurate
- Improve platform reliability and performance
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Third-Party Services
We use these services to operate the platform:
- Anthropic — AI language model for generating chatbot responses
- Meta (Instagram / Facebook) — Message delivery on Instagram
- LINE / WhatsApp — Message delivery on respective channels
- Neon — Database hosting
- Fly.io — Application hosting
- AWS S3 — Document storage
Each provider processes only the data needed for their function.
Data Retention
- Account and business data: retained while your account is active
- Conversation history: retained while your account is active
- Upon account deletion: all your data is deleted within 30 days
Your Rights
You can:
- Access your data through your dashboard
- Export your conversation history
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Disconnect any channel (Instagram, LINE, WhatsApp) at any time
Data Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and scoped access controls. Each business’s data is isolated from other businesses on the platform.
